Boarding Rates
Medium Crate — $25/night
For dogs up to 30 lbs
Bring your own bedding if desired.
4' × 4' Kennel — $30/night
For dogs over 30 lbs, or dogs who prefer more space.
Kuranda chew-proof bed included.
Additional Dog — +$15/night
For an additional dog staying in the same crate or kennel.
*The additional-dog rate applies only to dogs from the same household who can safely and comfortably share an accommodation. Dogs requiring separate accommodations are each charged the standard nightly rate.
Late Pickup — +$20
For pickups after 12:00 PM.

Friday–Sunday: 8:00AM –6:00 PM
To keep our days calm and predictable for the dogs in our care, we ask that all drop-offs and pick-ups be scheduled in advance. Please give us a call or text about 30 minutes before you arrive so we have time to get the dogs settled and be ready for you.
Need a different time? Just ask! We understand that travel schedules and unexpected changes don't always fit neatly into our regular hours. When our schedule allows, we're happy to accommodate earlier or later drop-offs and pick-ups based on our availability.
Boarding Requirements
For the safety of every dog in our care, all boarding guests must meet a few basic requirements.
Current Rabies, DAPP/DHPP, and Bordetella vaccinations are required. Veterinary documentation must be provided before your dog’s stay.
Dogs must be free of known contagious illness at their time of stay.
Dogs must arrive free of fleas and ticks. Dogs found to have fleas or ticks during their stay may require treatment at the owner's expense.
Dogs must have no known bite history and must not have a history of climbing, digging, jumping fences, or otherwise attempting to escape. Because our property is surrounded by thousands of acres of rural woods, we cannot safely accommodate dogs with known escape behaviors.
Dogs do not have to enjoy group play to stay with us. We can accommodate dogs who prefer their own space, but owners must disclose any known aggression, reactivity, resource guarding, or other behavioral concerns before booking.
Intact male dogs over 18 months of age are not accepted for boarding. Younger intact males may be accepted at the discretion of Smith Family Boarding and must meet all other boarding requirements.
Female dogs that are currently in heat, or expected to enter heat during their stay, are not accepted for boarding.
Reservations & Cancellations
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your dog’s stay. The remaining balance is due at drop-off.
With at least 7 days’ notice, your deposit may be transferred one time to another stay within 6 months. Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice and no-shows forfeit the deposit.
Hurricane & Mandatory Evacuation Policy
If a mandatory hurricane evacuation affecting our area requires your reservation to be canceled before your dog’s stay begins, your reservation deposit will be refunded in full.
If a mandatory evacuation is issued while your dog is staying with us, you or your designated emergency contact will be required to pick up your dog as soon as possible. Smith Family Boarding does not transport client dogs during evacuations.
If a mandatory evacuation requires a stay already in progress to be shortened, any unused nights will be refunded.
*Hurricanes, severe weather, or evacuations that affect your travel plans or destination, but do not require an evacuation of our area, are subject to our standard cancellation policy.
